This call is the perfect way to ensure we’re the right fit before moving forward.

This in-home, paid consultation is designed to help us understand how you want to live in your space. We’ll talk through your Chicago-based new construction or remodeling project, review your wish list, look at your inspiration photos, and interview you about how you and your family live in the space.

Investment: $495 for up to 3 hours

Before diving into your project, our Exploratory Phase provides clarity on your project’s scope, budget, and feasibility - ensuring a smooth, well-planned project before construction begins.

Here is what you can expect:

• Strategic planning and budgeting – We will develop a customized plan and an itemized budget that aligns with your vision and priorities.

• Contractor coordination and bid evaluation – We assist in gathering and assessing bids from contractors or builders to ensure that you can make informed, confident financial decisions.

• Scope refinement and cost adjustments – If needed, we will help refine the project scope to align with your budget without compromising quality.

The Exploratory Phase fee varies by project and is applied to your overall design fee once we move forward under contract.

The Conceptual Design Phase exists to confirm your scope, layout, investment estimate and aesthetic direction.

We’ll provide you with drawn-to-scale plans (including elevations and measurements for each area), a series of concept boards illustrating different aesthetics, ideas, and a furnishing investment estimate.

Together, we will narrow down one design concept. We will then provide one round of revisions to that design based on your input.

Here is what you can expect:

• Initial product selections

After we’ve chosen and revised a design concept, it’s time for us to start sourcing actual products.

Depending on the project, selections may include cabinetry, flooring, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, furniture, area rugs, lamps, artwork, custom window treatment designs, paint, stain, and wallpaper. We procure written quotes and prepare detailed proposals.

We’ll present products to you that are a fit for your budget, quality level, and aesthetic using our industry knowledge and design expertise.

Here is what you can expect:

• Floor plans and elevations

• 3-D renderings

• Final fabric selections

• Furnishing investment estimate

We will place orders, track deliveries and resolve deficiencies of all finish material orders, including cabinetry, plumbing, and countertops. Additionally, we will communicate all necessary details to the appropriate vendors and trades

Lastly, we will serve in a construction support role from start to finish through 1) regular site visits and 2) a Project Book that will be left on-site at all times, as a means of open communication and project knowledge among us, the trades, and your contractor.

As we approach the end of your project, we will prepare for and schedule our installation date - the Final Reveal. We will be present during installation.

On installation day, we will be onsite to accept all deliveries of furniture, artwork, area rugs, window treatments, etc. and to oversee their placement. 

We will work carefully to ensure that everything is placed and styled appropriately for the grand reveal of your new space(s).
